The Rainbow of Renewal
This title is now out of stock
'Lent is a very good time to take a step back and make space for God to do his renewing work in us. Traditionally this season of the Church's year has been connected with Jesus' journey into the wilderness, from which he returned to begin his ministry in Galilee, in the power of the Spirit. We too have the opportunity to be led by the Spirit into a desert place, a place of vulnerability and dependence on God... from such a place we too can return to our Galilees in the power of the Spirit.'
This book of Bible reflections explores how the transforming power of God, through the work of the Holy Spirit, can bring renewal to each one of us. Different aspects of renewal are linked to colours of the rainbow, because rainbows are the essence of light and when the white light of God is projected through the prism of our lives, all the colours of renewal are revealed. Each day's reading consists of a Bible passage, comment, a point for reflection, and a prayer. Also included are suggestions for using the book with groups.
